Abstract
|
We investigate the nuance of AI and creativity, and try to approach its implications so we recommend reading this article for the full?picture and to elaborate with more examples on the domains we will miss. This paper explores if AI could possess true creativity through an analysis of contemporary AI generative models, theoretical creativity frameworks, and empirical work?with artists. This research combines theoretical analysis and pragmatic experimentation through an AI model developed to provide an artistic tool?for artists. The findings show that although AI?systems may generate novel outputs that replicate certain behaviors of human creators, there are still huge conceptual and philosophical questions around machine creativity. The artistic viewpoint is complex, considering AI as a challenge to their livelihood and a new means of?collaboration. The results indicate that the place of AI in the creative process is shifting to a symbiotic relationship alongside human?creators, versus a competitors. The paper was presented in the context of ongoing discussions on the future of?human-AI creative collaboration and new possibilities of redefined creativity in the digital era.
