Abstract

Crisp comparison matrices lead to crisp weight vectors being generated. Accordingly, an interval comparison matrix should give an interval weight estimate. In this paper, a new method is proposed to obtain interval weights from an interval comparison matrix, which can be either con- sistent or inconsistent and ranking of decision making unit with interval data by using a new simulation method and an interval analytic hierar- chy process (IAHP) method. The conventional data envelopment anal- ysis(DEA) approach are not linear in case interval data are considered. They can be linearized by using the monte carlo simulation(MCS) with the interval data. The profit of the proposed method in comparison with the other methods of IDEA problem solution , is considering directly de- cision maker¡¯s judgments.
