Abstract |
Self managing and autonomic computing are emerging as new significant trend in design of computer systems. As we try to make the systems as autonomous as possible, new problems and new solutions emerge. The purpose of this paper is to consider the problem of self healing system and to suggest some solutions. We need systems which can detect their failure and could not only recover from it but also should be able to resume their work from the point of failure. This paper will talk about one such new approach towards this problem. It talks about an experimental framework created to build such applications. The programs written using this framework will be able to save their states and could start working after restart from the point it was stuck. |
