Abstract
|
This paper presents simulation of a dynamic model of wind energy conversion system. The mathematical models of wind, rotor, gear and induction generator are developed and represented using simulink tool in MATLAB. A 750 W doubly fed wound rotor induction generator is used as a case study in performance testing of the proposed simulation model. Intermediate and electrical outputs of the wind energy conversion system are presented. The proposed dynamic model will be useful for choosing an appropriate wind energy conversion system for any given wind regime.
