Abstract
|
In this paper, the efficient face tracking and recognition algorithm and system are presented for DVR (Digital Video Recorder). Video surveillance system DVR, which is now replacing the traditional analog CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) system, records digital images captured from camera and replays them. Recently intelligent home system integrates DVR system with biometrics techniques in order to strengthen video security. For this purpose, we tracks faces and gets facial area by using PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) camera, and then develops face tracking and recognition algorithm for DVR system to offer outstanding reliability of security system. In order to increase face recognition rates, the efficient pre-processing technique and HMM (Hidden Markov Model) method based on DCT are proposed and their performances are analyzed.
